Bolpur_Travel_Diary
Though I've Visited Bolpur so many times but the place seems new all the time whenever I visit again...It's the magic of the place..It's the charm of nature...
As a nature lover I feel delighted again & again & gain the peace of mind in the air & blue sky...
Let's share my experience of Bolpur trip....
I had visited Bolpur this time during Holi festival. Santiniketan is famous for cultural 'Basanta Utsab' held in Viswabharati campus. Lakhs of people usually gather there to be a part of this beautiful cultural festival. But this year Viswabharati authority has announced suddenly that there will be no program in the campus to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.. But enthusiastic people were always ready to enjoy this big festival among themselves...
I reached bolpur at evening..I was there with my friend's family...
On the very next day I went to visit Jaydev temple...The river Ajay was looking extremely beautiful & tranquil. I was mesmerized in that serenity. The glittering waves in the morning sunlight was like a real dream in front of me.
I found a blue grassopper there..Blue color is the color of freedom for me.The beautiful insect was spreading its natural beauty through the transparent wings..How free are they! They have no rush in life, no complexity at all..I've learnt simplicity from it..Life should be simple like the blue sky with the feel of freedom in mind..
We all should have this much of transparency among ourselves..Human beings have communication gap among themselves which lead to many problems in regular life..If there is transparency with strong communication among each & every person, life will going to be more easier... There is a glimpse of transparent beauty of this little insect..
The sun is represented as deity & worshipped as god. He is the bestower of light and life to the totality of the cosmos; with his unblinking eye, he is the generator of justice; with the almost universal connection of light with enlightenment or illumination. He is considered as the source of wisdom..
I remember a quote of Mother Teresa..
We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls..
I believe in the way sun has risen in the morning to make us able to see ourselves & our surrounding in the way we actually want to see them..We should celebrate the moment with joy, with utmost happiness and inner fulfillment..
Our spirits are born by the lights of sun..Let us dance in it...
I went to visit Jaydev temple nearby. This place is associated with poet Jayadev.
Jaydev Kenduli Baul Mela has been continuing undisturbed and unperturbed at Jaydev Kenduli village for over five-six centuries in the name of Kavi Jaydeva.
There is an interesting legend regarding Kavi Jaydev and his masterpiece Gitagovinda relate to the origin of the Mela.
While composing Gitagovinda – that celebrates Radha as the Primal Shakti and greater than Krishna, Kavi Jaydev wanted to make Krishna hold Radha's feet.
The terracotta sculptures are so lively that you will just fall in love with that beautiful art work..
The eyes that speak a thousand words
The glance that sees a thousand worlds
The lips that utter the song of life~
But to see it,
You need to have the eyes....
The river is always my favorite metaphor, the symbol of the great flow of life Itself.. The river begins at Source, and flows in its own way..This happens every single time, without exception..
Let het feet touch the river..
Let her lips kiss the sky...
She is a free soul in this prisoned earth...
Let her wings spread so she can fly.....
I had got a chance to visit typical traditional houses made of mud..
It was beautifully created..
Somehow at that moment I felt that
no one outside ourselves can rule us inwardly..When we know this, we become free..
May be she is unique, she is indomitable, her favourite word is freedom from all the conservations and wrong perceptions...
Is there anything lovelier or more wonderful than springtime in the country? Thus we say that there is love in the air of spring..The bright colors of the awesome flowers carry the colors in our mind too..We again fall in love with life...
Our minds are like flowers; they open only when the time is right and free from all obstacles and negativities..Nature helps us to grow like a free soul with open mindedness along with wide open eyes to explore the world..
Never endng roads always call me..Again & again I leave home to touch the sky, talk to my inner soul while walk along the long infinite road..The road may be beautiful or ugly; it may be easy or hard, smooth or rough, but it doesn't matter; what matters most is where the road will ultimately take you!
Holi is color of spring..This festival comes with all the colors of life,
colors of joy, happiness, colors of love and friendship and other colors by which we want to paint our lives.. I had spent a wonderful holi there with my friends amidst nature with the feel of refreshment and delighfulness ever...This holi celebration will be very special and memorable through out my life ever and ever...
We went to Salbon which is just some km from bolpur..
There is something really magical about being in nature..You cannot put it in words, but you will feel it deep within – it will just touch your spirit..Just a few minutes of being in nature makes us feel healed from all pains of life and restored again..
Nature gives us strength, drains away all negative energy and fills us with the extreme with positive energy...
If the word 'serenity' exists, it will only be synonymous to nature..I'm always being a nature lover, I find rhythm of my life within it..Love is truly in the air..Yeah, I'm just feeling it..Love is wearing all the bright colors & rhythm of poetry... You can never imagine the beauty of leaves while falling altogether in the mild breeze..They were singing the music of dancing waves...
I don't know how I can connect these two..But in my poem, rivers and sky are ever connected..They are like perfect soulmates..They are farthest distance apart from each other , still sky counts the waves of river and river continues to flow in her own elegant way carrying the reflections of sky in her own heart..
If you carefully look into river, you can find there are deposited millions of tears of rain who lost sky one day..I can find my own reflection of life whenever I gaze at her during twilight...
This above picture is the remaining part of Raipur Rajbari (zamindar palace)..It has now been turned into debris which was once heritage palace. Now it has overgrown with weeds and haunted house look..
If You are a true nature lover, you can't just complete your exploration in Bolpur..There are so many offbeat places scattered in Birbhum district surrounding Santiniketan that you can't actually count ..Probably for this reason, Kabiguru chose this place for establishing Viswabharati..
Nature is sometimes so strange, isn't it? This plant is expressing all its desires and impatient to touch all the unknowns of earth by its finger like branches..
Odd as I am sure it will appear to some, I can always be very imaginative in front of nature..I can think of no better form of personal development except being present in the lap of the nature..
I'll come back again & again here to be with nature, to feel the fragance and to be with my own self..I'll walk a peaceful path with all again my heart for all the time with all eternity..Life will no longer wait for something to happen miraculous but life will itself be, if you only want to make it so..Reign your own life by a melodious song of nature, find your true self , take a deep breath , love your life and make your every moment so precious to carry no regret at all..
Live freely, love truly...❤❤❤
