The Story of the Soul

The Story of the soul

That day I suddenly met a girl who was sitting alone looking at the blue sky near the seashore at twilight. It was an amazing moment. The long stories were hidden inside her. I could see the light of hope covered under the sunshine in her two eyes. The sunset probably made her vulnerable & wanderer at the same time. She was definitely looking for someone to express herself in silence. I looked at her face. She was beautiful. She was mesmerizing. Her eyes were calm, deep & expressive. Her gentle smile on her lips made me remember the call of unknown, infinite roads! I was thinking of the tiny star in the sky who is one of the many but so lonely that sometimes just missed to be counted! I sat in silence. I looked at her deep eyes & found a lost traveller who has been travelling to different unknown places so far, experienced different cultures, exchanged different vibes & gathered different knowledge but still now she has been looking for her own home in a different way.

I don’t know her name, her age or her personal details. But I definitely know who she is! Trust me, she can’t be anyone other than Aparajita. Aparajita is strong, confident and brave. She can’t be defeated.
I was waiting with keen interest to know her story. She was looking so perfect during sunset that I can’t explain in words. The glittering orange sunshine must fill her void with lots of joy, peace & happiness. It was clearly reflected on her face.
Suddenly she turned to me with a beautiful smile. I couldn’t turn my eyes from her. I could never see such a completeness in my life! The view was breath-taking as well as the girl was.

‘’Hey, Are you a solo traveller ?’’ After asking it so abruptly I was quite hesitating to think if she felt like I’ve disturbed her. But she nodded with her smile. I was relieved. I was confused what to ask next. It’s not that I’m a very introvert kind of person but don’t know why I just became speechless. Readers might think that I’m exaggerating but actually I’m not. But adding to my surprise, Aparajita started talking without hesitation, without any boundary. She continued her travel stories. I’m always an ardent lover of travel stories & life experiences. So this was a huge opportunity for me. Who knows these stories would not help me in future to publish my own book? What will be the name of the book?
Aparajita? No, absolutely not. She is the main hero of my story. She is the lost traveller whom I had been looking for so many years. So? What can be the perfect name of the book? ‘The lost traveller’?
No, it sounds good but not amazing. I became distracted within my own thoughts. Suddenly she said to me, ‘’Let’s have a cup of tea”. I found myself back from my thoughts. ‘’sure, let’s go”.

We drank tea. Sun is setting down. At this moment you can see the violet horizon over the infinite sea. The magic moment will not last forever. The pink sky with its all colors will just vanish after a few moments. This is something I never can accept.I know all the beautiful & most attractive moments do not last for long. But still I can feel the pain after losing them. I can definitely try to capture the moments within the pages of my book but the pain of losing them makes me vulnerable. I laugh, I cry, I get drowned in the ocean of emotions.

‘’what happened? You seem to be lost’’.
‘’I ‘m so sorry. I must have interrupted your story”. Please go on”.
‘’It’s alright. Sometime we get distracted from reality. And the distraction led us to control ourselves by emotions”.
Now I intentionally changed the topic by asking her ‘’what happened next when you were just alone at the darkest night through your journey over the hills?’’
-‘’I was afraid. Honestly, this was the first time in my life I was riding bike through hilly roads at night. And the network was not there. I was in middle of the road. I could feel the sound of silence under the vast sky full of stars. But you won’t believe, at that time I was anxious and super happy at the same time. Poet says ‘’The most beautiful moment can only be felt in fear’’.
I know it’s contradictory, but it’s true. I was too frightened to be alone in the middle of hilly roads but the beauty of the stargazed sky made me overwhelmed with happiness. ‘’what are you saying? You were feeling the natural beauty at that moment. Isn’t it crazy? Weren’t you nervous & panic-stricken?’’
-‘’No, I wasn’t. In fact, I was feeling as if I was meeting the most awaiting beauty of my life. The darkness, the power outage, the empty hilly road, the environment brought the chance to meet the eternal beauty of night. ‘’Okay, wait, please tell me how you dealt with the situation?’’
---‘’Ha-ha! Nothing . I just waited for a while and fortunately network was recovered. So I came back home using Google map.”
--‘’Thank God! Even I can feel the goose bump still now after hearing your adventurous story’’.
‘’I have one more story in hills. Mountain is superficial, he is great & he needs to be respected. Otherwise, you’re too little for him to understand.’’
---‘’Okay, we’ll continue the next story somewhere else. It’s already dark here. It would be better if we meet tomorrow somewhere .We might come across some hidden beauty of nature ,who can say!’’

The next day we started our exploration early in the morning. We took a bike, rode some unknown roads over hills and suddenly stopped & asked the locals about the place. They asked us to visit the secret beach. After hiking, we found the way to climb down, we parked our bike and started climbing down to reach the beach. When we reached there, it was nothing but a paradise. The blue ocean with its white foaming waves were crashing & hitting the hard rocks & creating wonderful images out of the waves. The long coast is protected by the hills at two sides. I remembered the story of mountain & ocean.

The mountain fell in love with the ocean. He wanted to grab her by extending his arms. He sought refuge in her infinite depth.
But he couldn’t understand the depth of the sea. The ocean sheltered the mountain in her depth. But mountain wasn’t able to understand the rules of sitting by her. Every time he touched her, he pushed her away with his harshness, & hardness. Still the reflection of the mountain in the heart of the sea looked amazing!

We touched each other’s hands and the white waves crashed into our legs. We looked at each other. We were lost. I could clearly see the depth of ocean into her eyes. We lost into each other. Our lips were drowned into ocean of love, ocean of infinity, ocean of happiness. None other the twilight became the witness of the pure, magical moment.

Have you ever seen this magical, mysterious yet terrifying but beautiful sea?
She is just like the sea. I can feel the magic, I can find her mysterious. Sometimes I get afraid of losing her but again I became the happiest person to see her beautiful smile. She is my ocean. She is my horizon.

I had to come back due to an emergency. But carried all the stories of her within me. One day she told me her story on the mountain. How narrowly she was saved! While going on a trek, she had been saved by her good luck & it was the only reason for her immense gratitude to the magnificent mountain god. She was a perfect storyteller. The way she used to describe each of her travel story that I could visualize them just in front of my eyes.
Her underwater experience made me feel like I was practicing underwater exploration with the corals. I could see the stargazed sky, the dark hilly road, the empty road towards jungle, the underwater world and the view from the top of the hill. I could definitely feel the fear of being lost, the excitement of being a mermaid, the breathlessness during trekking to high altitude & the ocean of happiness during the sunset. Probably, I was not there with her at her each & every experience, but her stories were alive. They helped me to reach to the places exactly she had been alone!

You guys believe or not, I don’t know what’s her name is! But I know who she is.She is Aparajita. Struggles of life can’t defeat her dreams & passion. I’ve left her near the seashore at the secret beach. Probably now she is at another place in search of a new story.
If you don’t believe, you can see the heart of the sea under the blue sky. Maybe if you look at her sincerely, you can find the reflection of tough mountain in the heart of ocean at the twilight. I’ve been waiting for my ocean to touch her mountain again by her waves. I’m sure that my Aparajita will come back again with her story of the soul!

  6. "How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, and how many times must the cannonballs fly
    Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind."

Really i have no words to say. I wish, may be someday I'll collect this type of memories. It's like fairytale. ❤️
